This short documentary emerged from the dire living conditions of undocumented individuals in Belgium, specifically during their occupation of the Beguinage church in Brussels. It highlights their resilience amidst governmental neglect and economic exploitation. Created during my second year at Sint-Lukas, the project captures their experiences through a collaborative visual approach, sharing their stories and images captured by the occupiers themselves. It symbolizes a testament to solidarity and mutual support forged through shared meals and conversations.

This short documentary is a collaboration that emerged out of the suffocating situation in which people without papers have been living in Belgium for years. It's a project talking about their experiences and their resilience irrespective of the inability of the Belgian government. It was made during their occupation of the Beguinage church in Brussels. Their perseverance and hospitality made this project possible. This is a work of resistance made by people who have been economically and socially exploited for years. I am honored and thankful for this collaboration.
